Civil War
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. This level's design is
excellent, but getting through it is a big PAIN. Normally, a walkthrough takes me about
1.5 pages, but this one took me about 3 pages. This level is divided into two parts,
literally. After you reach a certain point, the game loads another level. Pretty weird,
eh? Once in part 2, you can't go back to part 1.
Part 1
The first part of the level is rigged with mines.
If I were you, I would use the god mode cheat or else yer butt's gonna be toast! Look
around and find a crooked, broken wall, go around or jump over it. OR go around and find a
hole in the wall. Go around or jump over it. Go to the pathway with a bunch of plants in
front of you. Once you reach past the U.S. flag, go forward and be careful - there are
mines. Get the scope underneath the shelter. Exit through the hole and go forward (take
the left path) toward the Confederate flag. Immediately past the flag, turn left and get
the gatling gun and leave. Go forward and around the fence. Go inside the opening. Kill
the peopl and advance down. Go below the platform to the far left corner. Go inside the
tunnels, walk and kill the guys. Go up the bridge and to the front path (into the other
tunnel).
Take the right path (not door). Walk to the end.
Press space on the Ash Engine Co. box. Once that's outta the way, turn and go left, turn
right, and hop past the box. Open the door in front of you and get the crowbar. Go back to
the main room (where you turned right). Open the door w/ the crowbar. Go up the stairs,
turn left, and up the series of platforms. Walk past the room and into another room. Go
left, down a flight of stairs, left again, and into another room. Open the left most
"window" on the walls (there are 3). Inside of it is the iron key. Get it. Go
back to where you went down the flight of stairs. Go left, right, past some boxes, and
open the door. Go up lots of spiral stairs. Go in the path. Walk forward. This is the
point where the game loads the new level.
Part 2
I like this part better. Find the chicken coop
(it's to the left and about 100 yards forward). Enter it. The coop will generate new
chickens at a certain interval, so it's fun to come back, shoot them, and find that there
are still more to shoot (they are all on the same spot). Go down the hole. You'll now be
walking in crap. Keep on walking. Go in the room, turn and go left toward the boxes. There
is a brass key among the boxes. Go up the stairs, and exit by opening the door. Go in the
barn from the other side, up the ramp and opening the "windows". Kill the guys
in it and walk past the door frame. Go up the stairs and face the rest of the barn. Turn
right and open the door. Keep on walking and find a little door. Open it and enter it.
Keep walking. Don't go down onto a lower level, but find that area. Look to the right of
it: there is a narrow ramp leading up. Go on the ramp. This will bring you to a ledge.
From there, jump across to another ledge. On that ledge, walk on the catwalk across the
barn and outside of it. Back up, and get a running start. You want to land on the brown
roof of the other building. Once on it, break open the windows. Go in the room full of
boxes and go past them. Turn around and pick up the fully rigged TNT (when you get it, a
bell sounds).
Exit the building and follow the dirt path. At
the end of the dirt path is a broken bridge. 2 options here: 1. fall in the river or 2.
walk along the walls (I prefer this one). Keep walking (or swimming) and go past the dam.
If you're swimming and want to go up, go on the dam, turn right, and go up the stairs.
When you're at another dam, go to the top of it (if you're in the water, go in the water,
look to the right wall, and find a tiny opening. Swim through there and go up the well
you're in.) Fall down to the lower level of the dam (the side where you came from). Find
the crack and use the fully rigged TNT on the crack. Once the thing blows, wait for the
water level to stop rising. Then go back to where you came from and look to the right
wall. There are 3 little holes on the side of it. You want to enter the one that's the
farthest away from the now extinct dam. Enter it, there is moss on the top and bottom of
the passageway. You'll eventually end up in a square room. Go in it and turn around. Jump
on the ledge above the door frame. Look left, and there's another ledge. Keep on jumping
on the ledges until you can open a door. Exit it (you were in an outhouse).
Walk forward and open the door to the building.
For a broiler plate, jump behind the counter, go right and forward, then turn left, and
press the button underneath the counter. Run back around the counter and into a room w/
enemies. There is a revealed portion of the wall to the left. Enter it and get your stuff.
To continue on, go up the stairs. Walk forward and open the 2nd door on the left. Fall
down the hole. Kill the guys and walk through the door to the left of all those seats
(assuming you're facing them). You should be in a kitchen now. In it, find the window and
exit through it. Turn right and jump on the stack of 2 boxes. Jump into the building
across from you. Go inside the room and fall to the lower level. Face the side opposite of
the big, grey door. Enter the room (break windows or through a door) and then continue on
until there are more windows. Break them to enter. In this room, go up the stairs. You're
now on the 2nd floor. Turn right and pull the switches. Go in the now opened grey metal
door.
You're now in a big courtyard thing. Go straight,
follow the path, turn left past the brick building. Walk past the boxes and into a hole in
the wall. You're in an alley now. In it, go in the building on the left. Go to the far
end. Push the box, go left, push the box, go right, push the box. In the new room, go up
the stairs and go forward. Find the ASH box on the right. Go to the left. Then right, left
and find your way until you see an opening above a box. Jump and crouch to get past it.
Once there, walk a little ways more until you see a hole in the wall. Wal kacross the
narrow plank. Outside, either jump on the roof and through the hole you enter, or onto the
wall, and jump into the area with a box. Once in the building, get the steel key. Exit by
jumping on the box and over the wall. Walk back past the many boxes and go inside the
building on the left hand side. Jump on the box and onto the ledge. Get the cannon balls
(a bell tolls) and exit the building. Go around the building to find a cannon. Use the
balls on it and watch the cannon blow apart a wall! Once that's done, go in the house.
In the house, open the door on the right. For
elixir, there's a tiny door on the left (use enter). Go left past the 2 doors, and find a
set of stairs going up. Go up them. Once up, go forward, open the door, and go in the
hall. Make your way past the barricades. You should save about now. The room in the end of
the hallway is Sam Kenny's. He's a short guy with a grey uniform. His guns are pretty
strong (they push you back quite a bit). I think there are chairs all over the room, so
you should use them to your disposal (if you're vulnerable). Once he's dead, you'll get
the message "Mission Complete". You're free to do whatever.
