Capture The Flag

This game is my favorite. This can only be played in the team game format. You start out by deciding teams, one blue and one red. When you enter the game, you will see that you come to life at your team base. Move a little bit and turn around and you will see it. You will see your base and flag. Your job now is to go find the other teams base and once found, position your character over their base. If done correctly you will see a message that says, "you got the blue/red teams flag". Now you must rush back to your base and position yourself over it and if your flag is still there, you will see a message "blue/red team as captured the flag" accompanied by a victory sound and an increment in score for your team. If when you go to capture their flag and the flag is not at the base, you can assume one of your teammates has it. If you get their flag and you return to your base and your flag is not there, you must wait for it to be returned before you can score a point for your team. The player who has the flag can easily be seen as his character will flash. To get your flag back to your base, you must kill the player on their team who is flashing. Once you kill him, the flag that he was carrying will appear and you simply have to cross over it to return it to your base. Keep in mind that you can kill any member on the other team at anytime and your kill count will increase. However individual kill counts mean nothing in the the flag game, all that matters is which team caputures the most flags. This game is best played to 10 or 20 to determine who is the best. Strategies include, setting up one guard and two attackers and to have good communication on your team, ie: tell fellow teammates that you have the flag and for them to let you know when the flag has been returned so you can score a point. If you kill the player on the other team who has your flag and you manage to retrieve your flag, it is always appropriate to tell your teammates so they will know that they can now score a point.

Death Match

Also referred to as DM, this game is played int the "everybody for himself" fashion. You kill anybody you see and try to get the most kills. This game will either go on forever until people tire of the game or can be played to a set limit. I recommend 100 kills to be a reasonable amount to determine who is the best.

Kill The Fool With The Chicken

The object of this game is to be the person who holds onto the chicken the longest. When you enter the game, the chicken (white flapping bird) will appear in a random spot on the map, you rush and position your character overtop of it and you will notice your name turn red. All others will notice this too and they will know you have the chicken because you will be the only red player in the game. Try to hold onto it as long as you can and you will watch a time clock increment next to your name. Only the player who holds the chicken can kill others and everybody else can only kill the the guy with the chicken. (This is assuming the game is not set to friendly fire). This game can go on forever so it would be appropriate to set a time limit but seldom is this done. It's a nice break from the DM and Team game format and is usually played by beginners.

Team

The team game is the toughest to play. Some players have mastered this and it is easy to tell players who have played together before and those who have not. The object is for your team to outkill the other team. Before the game begins, teams are decided, one blue and one red. You will notice that posses will almost always find themselves on the same team. One strategy tip is to stick together, however there can be advantages to splitting up. These games can go on forever or can end on a set kill count. I suggest setting the kill count to 100 at all times. This should be a good measure to decide which team is the best.
